• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate functional requirements into aesthetically pleasing and user-centered robotic designs.
• Develop creative concepts for robot enclosures, integrating functionality, manufacturability, and user experience.
• Utilize strong knowledge of wire harness design, wire routing, sheet metal design, and plastic design to create efficient and reliable robotic systems.
• Leverage CAD software (Solidworks, Solid edge, etc.) to create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed assembly instructions.
• Conduct design reviews, presenting ideas and collaborating with engineers to ensure designs meet technical specifications and production feasibility.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in industrial design and robotics technology, incorporating innovative materials and finishes into designs.
• Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are optimized for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in prototyping activities, providing feedback and iterating on designs as needed.
